Last night’s snow…

As predicted, our rain ended and this is the result of last night’s snow. It was heavy and wet and outlined each and every branch, infinitesimal and grand, and is now slowly, slowly, sliding off each possessive limb in clumps that look like giant’s snowflakes. The sky is without a cloud…

A little Snow was here and there
Disseminated in her Hair —
Since she and I had met and played
Decade had gathered to Decade —

But Time had added not obtained
Impregnable the Rose
For summer too indelible
Too obdurate for Snows —

~ Emily Dickinson

It looks beautiful doesn’t it?! It always makes me feel joyful the first real snow. It looks so pretty on the trees and it really seems to usher in an air of excitement with it…well I always feel that way.

I’ve been meaning to mention too that I love the pic of week and the banner. You always make it look fresh and new!
